Why Nepal?

Probably no other country in the world can take such a pride in being the Mother of a wide variety of landscape. Few of the highest peaks of the world, including Mount Everest, the mystic rivers, green plains, breathtaking valleys, Nepal is nature summed in one plate. This country has a rich cultural heritage which shimmers in the monasteries and shrines, as though Lord Buddha was meant to be born here, in its absolute peace and purity.

Unfortunately, it is the nature of nature to have its own bleakness. Amidst this absolute bliss of Nepal, lies the dark corners of underdevelopment and illiteracy. 42% of its population lies below the poverty line.

Having a high mortality rate, the innocent children lose their lives at a young age. Those who manage to survive are employed in child labour fighting a battle to fill their stomach with 2 course meal a day. The young girls face a high risk of trafficking where they are transported off borders for illegal and nonconsensual sex work.

In the past one decade the children of Nepal have been nameless victims of political unrest, civil war and natural calamities. Lack of food, shelter, health care and education seems to be persistent and perennial.

Children are the future of any economy, and in Nepal their standard of living and security is at jeopardy.

In an attempt to eradicate the pain of the most innocent section of the population, CWE was commenced in Nepal.

CWE stands in line with the slogan, “As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one individual”.

Our pursuit:

A rehabilitation: To give the orphan children a home, not a house of walls through love, respect, support and health care. To give them the joy of playing and social interaction through a safe playing ground, small trips and family holidays. To let their imagination run wild in an Art & Craft section.

A holistic learning: To provide academic education to the children. To impart the values of mutual respect, humanism and companionship. To give life skills to youngsters and women so that their heads are high with self-sustenance and stability.

Rights of living: To promote the rights of children through local and international members. To stand up against Child and Women abuse of any form. To support the elderly citizens throughout their senior years.
